Mineral processing capability
Plants and stations across the circuit, from washing and separation to water recovery.
Wash plants by type
- Dense medium separation (DMS)
- Separates ore from waste by density in a magnetite or ferrosilicon medium, using cyclones or drums.
- Gravity (spiral) wash plants
- Upgrades fine material by gravity as slurry flows down banks of spiral concentrators.
- Jig plants
- Separates coarser material by density on a bed pulsed with water.
- Scrubbing and screening plants
- Scrubbers, trommels and wet screens break up clay, wash the feed and size it ahead of separation.
Plants and stations
- Cyclone plants
- Hydrocyclone clusters that classify, deslime and densify slurry, and dense medium cyclones for separation.
- Spiral plants
- Banks of spiral concentrators with their feed distribution, product and tailings handling.
- Thickeners
- Settling tanks that concentrate slurry with flocculant and return clear overflow water to the plant.
- Filter presses
- Pressure filtration that turns slurry into a dry cake for stacking or transport and recovers the filtrate.
- Dewatering stations
- Dewatering screens, centrifuges and filters that reduce moisture in product and tailings.
- Pump stations
- Slurry and water transfer between plant areas, tailings facilities and return water dams.
